STEMM Strolls – aiming to bring STEMM students and professionals together in regional areas. Local get togethers to find new networks, find mentors, and support groups especially in regional areas where it is hard to do so.
Sharing intersecting diverse experiences from the women in STEMM community through STEMM Strolls provides an opportunity to strengthen the status of women and girls in STEMM. Bringing the community together is a step in the right direction for gender equality.
Over 100 professionals and students walked the campus of La Trobe University (Bendigo) on 1 November – led by Board Director Dr Priya Rani. The day also included a keynote session and plenty of networking.
“It was truly heartening to see such a diverse mix of 100 individuals come together, united by a shared curiosity in the expansive worlds of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine. These strolls are a cornerstone for fostering collaboration and inspiring future innovators within our community.” – Dr Priya Rani, Board Director

Women in STEMM Australia acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of country throughout Australia. We pay our respects to Elders past and present. First Nations people have practised science for over 65,000 years. Our first scientists passed on the lessons of the land, sea and sky, to the future scientists of today through stories, song and dance. They call this caring for Country. If you care for Country, the Country will care for you.
